Elder Law and Guardianship
I assist seniors and their families with guardianship cases, medicaid planning, and long term care issues. In addition, I am a qualified Guardian ad litem for incapacitated adults. This means that I can be appointed by the courts to represent the best interests of adults who are alleged to be incapacitated. I also represent individuals looking to become Guardians and/or Conservators for loved ones (e.g., parent or adult child).
These issues tend to be very personal and sensitive. Beyond knowledge of the law, I also have empathy and compassion for all involved, and understand how these issues can have an impact on the client and family members.
Please call me today if you are facing any of these issues, and I will provide the best service possible at a reasonable rate.

PRACTICE AREAS

Who needs an estate plan? You do! Whether you’re married, single, with or without children, have many assets or few, everyone needs to put a plan in place for an event that no one likes to think about… death or incapacity.
-
I’ve seen far too many situations where someone passes away, and a host of family/friends fight over the assets left behind.
-
I’ve also seen people become incapacitated without warning, and have family members struggle and clash over critical decisions related to life support and other medical decisions.
Don’t let this happen to you and your loved ones. The purpose of an estate plan is to record your decisions for a time when you will no longer have a voice. If you have significant assets, an estate plan will not only direct the dispensation of your belongings, but it will do so in a tax-smart manner.
I can help you put together a plan through the creation of:
-
Wills
-
Trusts
-
Powers of Attorney
-
Advanced Medical Directives
If a loved one has recently passed away, I can assist you with the process of probating the will and understanding what the law requires.
Contact my office today, and we’ll set up a consultation to custom create a plan that fits your needs and honors your wishes.
